Requirements:

• Interest in outdoors
• Interest in cultural exchange and community service
• Good physical condition to backpack 5 to 8 miles a day at 7,000 ft. elevation with a 35lbs. backpack

Process:

1. Submit application to your local council
2. Download and save one of the documents listed below
   GS Service Challenge Welcome Packet 2007.pdf (includes packing list) or GS Service Challenge Welcome Packet 2007.doc
3. Fill out the forms and copy them for your own records.
4. Fax (1-800-676-0486) us a copy of the completed forms 30 days before your course start date.
5. Bring the original medical forms with you to Costa Rica.
6. Payment ($1,600) should be in the mail to us 30 days before your course start date.
