Danny was born in San José, but grew up in the city of San Isidro, three hours south of the capital. During his seven years at CRROBS, Danny has avidly pursued rafting, kayaking, climbing, surfing, and SCUBA diving, of which rafting and SCUBA are his passions. At CRROBS, he has been able to encounter new challenges daily and learn to overcome them. In his free time, he drools over pictures of race cars and jeeps.

Mauricio Miranda Flores

Hometown: San Vito de Coto Brus

Mauricio has now been with us at CRROBS for nearly three years, ever since he escaped the hectic life of working three days a week from noon to 4pm at Levi’s Clothing store in the mall. Mauricio works full time at our base, coordinating logistics, driving students to and from the airport, and looking pretty. Diligent at work and at dressing in the latest fashions, Mauricio is always up for the task. Living at base with his wife, his four year-old son Estefano and his newborn daughter Michaela, he is glad that his children have a natural playground in their backyard.

Doña Carmen

Hometown: San Jose, Costa Rica

Doña Carmen has been working at the CRROBS base for over four years, and she can always be seen trailed by her three children, Steven, Jason and Saline who often accompany her while she works. You know she is around when you hear romantic music blaring, part of her ideal work environment. She makes a mean gallo pinto and eggs for breakfast, and so kindly surprises logistics and marketing office with this treat. She always has a friendly smile and a smart remark, and she is a major staple to keeping things running smoothly here at base.
